Location

Langton by Spilsby is located about 4 1/2 miles north of Spilsby and 3 miles north of Partney.  It lies equidistant between the the A16 Boston – Spilsby – Louth road and Sausthorpe, which is on the A158 Lincoln – Partney – Spilsby road.   It is at the southern end of the Lincolnshire Wolds (see the official website of the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and another useful site with information on the Lincolnshire Wolds).   The postcode is PE23 4PU.

There are several other interesting villages (including Tennyson’s birthplace Somersby and Partney, where Matthew Flinders, who explored that  the Australian coast, married Ann Chappelle in 1801), small towns (including AlfordSpilsby and Louth) and Gunby Hall within 8 miles which make a visit to this quiet and unexpected corner of Lincolnshire here surprising and worthwhile.
